In an attempt to branch out and read books that I wouldn’t normally try (I’m very much a science fiction / fantasy sort of reader, with a bit of literary fiction mixed in), I’m utilizing the book “1,000 Books to Read Before You Die” by James Mustich. Sometimes I pick them books completely at random, sometimes I pick ones that just look like fun. Eventually, though, I’d like to read them all.
I figure it’ll take me 15 or 20 years.
While I certainly wouldn’t pick some of these books for my Top 1,000, and while there are certainly books that I think ought to be on this list but aren’t, it serves as a worthwhile goal.
